Who we are
Kwentro Studios produces Filipino vertical micro-drama. This policy covers
the Kwentro mobile application (ph.kwentro.app) for Android.
The anonymous account
The first time you open the app, it creates an anonymous account without asking you to sign up. This is what lets the app give you an identity without a registration form standing between you and the episodes.
That account consists of:
- A randomly generated account number (for example
user123456789) - A randomly generated internal ID
- The date the account was created
- A record of whether you have a paid tier — currently everyone is on the free tier
We do not know who you are from this. It is not linked to your name, your email, your phone number, your Google account, or any advertising ID.
If you choose to add an email
Adding an email address to your account is optional and entirely up to you. Nothing in the app requires it, and all episodes are watchable without it. If you do add one, we store that email address so that you can sign back in — for example on a new phone — and so we can send you the confirmation link that verifies the address is yours.
Information we do not collect
The app does not ask for, collect, or transmit any of the following:
- Your name, phone number, date of birth, or gender
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, files, camera, or microphone
- Advertising identifiers, or any cross-app or cross-site tracking
The app integrates no analytics, attribution, advertising, or social tracking software development kits.
Information stored on your device
Your viewing history stays on your phone. The following is saved locally on your device only and is not uploaded to us:
- Playback progress — which episodes you have watched and your position within them
- Followed series and performers
Uninstalling the app deletes this local data. Your account sign-in token is stored in your device's secure keystore, not in ordinary app storage.
Who processes this data
- Supabase hosts the account database, on servers in Singapore. They process account data on our behalf.
- Bunny.net delivers the video. Like any content delivery network, their servers receive the IP address of the device requesting a video and standard technical request logs. We do not combine those logs with your account.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account records are kept while the account exists. You can ask us to delete
your account and everything attached to it at any time by emailing
hello@kwentro.com — include your
user… number, which you can find in the app. We will delete it
within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to access, correct, and delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to its processing. Contact us at hello@kwentro.com to exercise any of these rights.
Children
Kwentro is a general-audience drama service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the account.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, this policy will be updated before that change ships, and the date above will change with it.
